Photon Chat is Coming – Simple & Ready-to-Use
One of our most requested features is finally coming: Photon Chat. It will be ready-to-use and simple so you can add a scalable chat within a breeze. Nice. Users can subscribe to multiple channels at once and can be updated independently from Photon rooms. Not enough: the chat will not only allow to send plain strings, but also to send custom binary messages, so you can use it as a kind of event publishing system.
We’ll launch first for Photon Cloud and Unity and will extend the product to other platforms and for Photon Server step-by-step.
