Part 2 of the Simple Brawler series adds a camera that follows the local player, animation driven by simulation velocity, and a PlayerConfig Data Asset, and explains why Quantum keeps simulation and view apart.
The new Simple Brawler video series starts from a blank Unity 6 project. In 12 minutes, Part 1 gets a character moving and jumping in an online Photon Quantum 3.1 session without writing any netcode.
See how Picomy, a small indie team, used Photon Quantum to build Bandit Trap's asymmetric 3v1 multiplayer, including destructible rooms, deterministic replays, and cross-platform consistency without desync.
See how HALE Gameworks' two-person team used Photon Quantum's deterministic ECS to build Valor Hunters, handling massive enemy hordes and physical co-op interactions like rope-binding and piggybacking.
Chimera Entertainment built "Songs of Silence" on Photon Quantum's deterministic simulation, syncing real-time battles and turn-based skirmishes across up to 6 players with one consistent architecture.
Thunder Lotus, previously a single-player studio behind Spiritfarer, spent five years learning multiplayer to build 33 Immortals, a 33-player co-op game powered by Photon Quantum's ECS, Bot SDK, and matchmaking tools.
Motion Twin, the seven-person cooperative behind Dead Cells, built the fast-paced co-op roguelite Windblown on Photon Quantum's deterministic ECS, using its replay system to debug complex timing bugs.
See how developers at the Crazy Web Multiplayer Jam 2025 used Photon Fusion's Shared Mode and Quantum's deterministic netcode to ship WebGL multiplayer games in just 10 days, competing for a EUR 10,000 prize pool.
Photon's WebGL guide for game jams recommends Fusion Shared Authority for fast, low-CPU multiplayer prototyping, and Quantum's deterministic simulation for precision-critical games, with free samples for both
Photon partnered with Sweden's Arctic Game on a Multiplayer Jam, where four teams built co-op prototypes with Photon Fusion 2 and Quantum in under three days, backed by $10,000 in prizes and live developer support.
